Alizia Y. Dhillon

Alizia Dhillon brings a commercially grounded and culturally attuned perspective to Gerard & Associates, shaped by more than 20 years in human resources, talent development and business partnering.

Her career has taken her across diplomatic, non-profit, manufacturing and multinational corporate environments, including senior HR leadership roles with PETRONAS Lubricants International, KONE and Bunge. These experiences have shaped an approach that balances people considerations with business performance, cost awareness and practical implementation.

Alizia’s interest in people development began through her involvement with AFS Intercultural Programs, where she had earlier participated in an international student exchange. She later served as a young member of its board and worked closely with volunteers and students from different backgrounds. The experience strengthened her belief that sustainable change begins with understanding how people think, communicate and respond to unfamiliar situations.

She subsequently moved through business development, country and regional HR leadership, talent management and organisational-development roles. Her experience includes establishing HR functions and policies, developing early-career and leadership programmes, strengthening succession pipelines and supporting organisations through cultural and operational change.

Alizia believes effective HR must understand the commercial realities facing a business. Her business-development background and hands-on country leadership experience allow her to assess people decisions through both a human and operational lens.

She is particularly interested in helping organisations overcome change fatigue. In her experience, transformation often falters when middle managers and frontline employees do not understand why change is necessary or how they contribute to it. Her approach uses structured communication, thoughtful questioning and practical guidance to help people arrive at solutions they can understand and own.

Alizia joined Gerard & Associates after knowing Gerard professionally for several years and recognising that they shared similar values: fairness, practical advice and respect for the people behind every organisation.

As Managing Partner, she is helping broaden the firm’s capabilities in change management, leadership development, workplace culture, psychosocial risk and practical HR support for SMEs. She also serves as honorary treasurer of SAMENTA’s Southern Region.
